Okay, so I also started a donation fund for Iso's surgeries, I normally try and stay away from donations as I'd rather do something for the person in return, but I am truly desperate, so please share this web link to anyone and and anywhere you can!
I made a quick video for Iso's cause! Please watch and share this video everywhere you can!
Okay, here's a flyer I made for Iso's cause! Please share and spread the word for Iso! Feel free to print this and put it anywhere you wish!
Okay, so I have a couple people willing to do art for anyone that donates! Here is a list of people doing art for donations for Iso's cause! Check them out and get some art for your generosity! To get some art, just tell whoever you want art from the name connected to your PayPal/card and how much you donated and they will confirm that with me. ^^
(Will do Chibi sketches for a $10 dollar donation, headshots for $20 donations, and for $30 donation you get a fullbody piece of work!)

Okay so I didn't do a update last week, mainly because there wasn't much to update..they were waiting to have the new meds kick in and see if they worked and so I mainly just played with him because he was going stir crazy. So I didn't get much photos be cause he had to stay in the cage because he was snotty again. =/ And this week he's taken a slight turn for the worse! He's itching non stop so badly that he's scratched his skin raw into open sores and his fur is coming out. >.< I have no idea why he is itching and neither does the clinic, and what's worse, they are not giving him anything for the itching...He has had diarrhea for the past few days and is blowing bloody snot again..so it would seem he is NOT responding to the new meds...they did a gum biopsy to see if his gums had anything to do with it, but found nothing..they STILL have not done a culture..don't know why. By the time I got there all the vets were off to lunch or gone for the day, so I couldn't discuss anything with them. =/
I am tempted to actually call my own vet and try and get a second opinion, I REALLY wish they would let me take Iso home and just take him to my own vet, but I don't think they would, they seem hell bent on not letting him leave until he is cured...or dead. =/
We'll just have to see if he springs back up next week..hopefully he does..and I hope they friggin' give him something for his itches...
Here is a collage(poorly put together one..I have a migraine and I'm tired and stressed)that has photos from both last week and this week!
And I am still taking donations for Iso's cause! If I can get more money raised, maybe they will let Iso go to me, to take to my own vet!
**************************************************************************************************
**UPDATE** 6/1/13Okay, so I finally got to visit Iso for a bit after two weeks! If you would like to see photos of the handsome boy, check out his collage!
So, I got there after the clinic had already closed, so I couldn't talk to his vet, so still the only update is they are trying a new medication, but I am going to call in(or just ask next Saturday when I visit again) and ask what blood tests they have done, and if they ever did a culture to see exactly what is causing his persistent URI, because if we can't find out exactly what is causing his URI it's going to be very hard to wipe out completely. >.< I also want to see if they have him on L-Lysine, and if they don't if they will put him on it to help his symptoms and help his immune system fight off the URI. Other than that Iso is looking great, he's not snotty anymore, but he does have wet sneezes that he does every now and then, and he's gained a bit more weight as well, which is really good! The worst thing actually that I saw today is poor Iso had a intense and almost constant itching!
I think it's just because he has dry skin, but I felt so bad for him because he looked so uncomfortable, so I made sure the kennel tech knew about it, and then hopefully the vets will give him something to soothe his skin. I will be visiting him again next Saturday, so that'll likely be the next update, and I am still in need of donations for him, so please, if you haven't donated yet, consider donating for Iso today! ^^
****************************************************************************************************
**UPDATE 5/30/13**Okay, so I FINALLY got a small update on Iso today when I called. It took me talking to one of the girls that knew who I am to get an actual update. No update on a bill yet, but I was told that they are trying a new medication on him to see if he responds to it better, then hopefully he can come home soon! And better news! I am going to visit him on Saturday! So I'll get to see how much he's improved, and get some update photos of him for those keeping up with all this! I'm so excited! It'll have been two weeks since I last saw him, and I can't wait to hug him and snuggle him again! Hopefully I'll get a more detailed update once I visit, but I just want to see him again! So I'll give another update after I visit. ^^ Thank you again for all those that have donated and shared Iso's story, if you haven't donated yet, consider it today! Any amount will help! ^^
***************************************************************************************************
**UPDATE** 5/25/13Okay, so update guys! It's not much of one, but it's all I could get because they were really busy and couldn't tell me much. Iso is still not well enough to come home, which I knew, but otherwise the weekend staff don't know much more than that, so I was told to call back Tuesday when they have full staff on. This is good news to me because obviously, he's alive! I honestly didn't even know if he was still alive until now, and I was terrified that they were going to tell me that he had been put down or something else terrible. So he's still recovering and hopefully I'll have more info for you guys on Tuesday night!(as I won't be calling until like around 5-6 in the evening to make sure the head tech is gone for the day)Unfortunately with no one I worked with on today and them being so busy, I couldn't visit Iso today, but maybe On Tuesday I'll be able to. I really want some update photos, and just to see him because I miss him so much.
Also, we made $100 in just donations! Thank you SO much for all those that donated! And for those who haven't consider donating today! I am going to be making a new flyer offering random services like pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else I can think of in exchange for donations. For the taxidermy people, I'll likely be putting up the things I can more easily part with for sale in the next few days, I just have to go through my collection and see what I can part with. I know off the top of my head I have Sahmain's old cross tail for anyone that wants it, it's beatiful and very thick, and it's only $10 plus $6 shipping. For someone who collects older toys I have two original 1999 Furbies in perfect condition that still work like day one. $32 each plus shipping. Also, if anyone is interested in games, I have some I know I can part with, but I'll have to go through my collection and see exactly what I have, but if anyone is interested, I can go through them all. I have games for about every console, DS, 3DS PS3 xBox 360, PSP, Everything up to the Vita just about, as I don't have that yet. I'll add more as I find stuff.
Okay, that's all for now, but expect another update on Tuesday!
**SMALL UPDATE** 5/19/13
So, in just three days, and only from dA even, we've already raised $72! Thank you so much guys! $72 may not seem like much when you think of a vet bill, but it will truly make the difference!
And also, I printed out the flyer I made for Iso, and I'm going to get copies made, and I'm going to try and post them up where I can. Not sure who all lets flyers go up anymore but I figured I would try. I know I cannot hang them up on streets, because the last time I hung flyers someone came and ripped them all down, so I'm going to try and stick with businesses.
I also want to try and hold some sort of fundraiser in my complex, but not sure what I should try to do. The majority of the people in my complex are elderly, and I'm not sure what would entice them enough to come. A bake sale maybe? But that's a good bit of ingredients with money I don't have if I am to try and wipe out a chunk of Iso's bill with my own money... I dunno, what are your ideas guys? What can I do that is relatively cheap that will certainly raise some money? I also e-mail my local animal shelter and asked for advise/help whatever they are willing to do, but I haven't heard back from them yet, but hopefully I will soon. It would be AWESOME if I could hold a fundraiser at an animal shelter. Anyways, keep spreading the word about Iso and remember for those that want to donate, you CAN get beautiful art for it! Just check out the list of people below!
**UPDATE** 5/17/13Okay, so I finally got a chance to speak with Iso's vet today, and right now he is mostly just waiting for Iso's URI to clear up so they can see the extent of the damage, and how much of his infection in his mouth will go away just with antibiotics, his ulcer's are not terrible, but any ulcer is a bad one, but the vet said that the head tech must've had a "misunderstanding" when she told me that Iso's mouth was so bad he'll likely have to go to a specialist, which is $1000 or more and that the cat was so bad he'll likely have to be put to sleep..(in other words she exaggerated GREATLY to try and put me off of helping Iso and trying to give him a home) I Did get to see Iso briefly before leaving the clinic today, and he is looking even better then when I saw him two days ago! His face is cleared of snot, his nose is only a little runny, no more wheezing, and his coat is clean and healthier looking(by himself, with no baths!) and he looks like he might even have gained a bit of weight and he's still got an appetite and a bright look! He certainly doesn't look so far gone that there's no hope, far from that actually!
But Iso WILL be at the clinic for a couple more weeks recovering and of course, surgery, and then recovering from surgery, and I am hoping to hold some fundraisers, get more donations, and hold some sales, and pretty much anything else I can think of to raise money in that time, if you guys have any ideas, please let me know! And thank you so much for those willing to make art for people who donate!
I e-mailed my local shelter and asked them if they could help, by either letting me hold a fundraiser there, or anything they can do to help, so hopefully I hear from them soon. I start my accreditation training next week at work, I REALLY hope it's paid...not sure if I get paid there or just when I'm at the home store...guess I'll find out, I'm going to try and wipe that out in about two weeks or so, so I can get working and start saving for Iso. I WILL prove the head tech wrong...I snapped a few pictures of Iso before I left, but couldn't get too many good ones, he kept moving because he wanted out of his cage so I could hold him, but the head tech prevented me from doing that. >.< And then once he realized I wasn't going to free him, he pouted, poor, sickly stinker. Dx I felt so bad leaving without giving him a kiss and a cuddle..But I'll be uploading more pictures for you guys to see his recovery, and I will also be making a short video of his cause as well for people to share and spread around.
Hmm I think that it all at the moment. Today was my last day at the clinic, so unfortunately Iso won't be so readily available to me now, but I will be calling for updates and hopefully I'll be allowed short visits on the weekends, when the head tech is not there.
Again, thank you guys so much for donating, sharing and praying for Iso! Hopefully my next news will be even better!

5/16/13
Okay, so today I went into the clinic, and was confronted by the C U Next Tuesday head vet tech about Iso. Yesterday I put on his progress notes that I wanted him, I've wanted him almost since he came in, but I only told select people because I wasn't sure if he was going back to the family or not until yesterday. So I only put the note on his sheet yesterday to let everyone else know.
Now, here is where it gets confusing:
I was told that Iso needed to recover completely from his URI, which he's been recovering VERY well from in the past few days, he needs to be neutered, and he needs a dental with likely a good deal of extractions. THAT IS ALL I WAS TOLD. Okay, Neuters aren't that bad, they are 140 there and as low as 65 at a low cost clinic, I can swing that for this cat. A Dental is between 320-500 at the clinic and I believe around the same at my vet. Okay, I could make that work with a bit of planning. Well now the head tech springs on me that Iso has mouth ulcers, and that they don't know what's going to go into fixing that or how much it is, and why don't they know? BECAUSE THEY ARE THINKING OF JUST KILLING HIM INSTEAD. That's right, they would rather just kill him than work with me to get him healthy again. The head tech said it's because they wouldn't feel comfortable adopting him out if he's in so much pain...the cat is sweet, happy, eating ravenously, both wet and dry food, and has no sensitivity around his mouth, so obviously his pain scale isn't nearly bad enough that he should be killed...
Now I found out today about Care Credit, it's essentially a credit card that can only be used for veterinary expenses. Now, did I hear this from the head tech? Of course not! I got lucky and overheard one of the assistants up front talking about it and asked about it! Now, provided I'm accepted, I would gladly do that for this cat, like I have told them, I am committed to this cat. But what's really fucked up is the head tech didn't even bother to mention that, but instead was like "Oh, you aren't ballin' enough to pull that much money out of your ass? Well then, forget this cat, and go get a One By One cat." (One by One is a local cat rescue, and that's not quoted exactly, but that is what she meant.)
So, I am going to try and get approved for the Care Credit, but I have to know my monthly income, and since I just started at Petsmart and still have to do my accreditation training, I don't know exactly what I'll be getting every month as my schedule is going to change of course. But I don't think this cat has like a month to wait while I finish my training and find out how much I'll be getting a month since the head tech is so keen on killing him. Tomorrow I am talking to Iso's vet, which I tried to do today but the head tech kept me so busy I didn't get the chance to sneak off and talk to him. I want to know EXACTLY what all Iso needs and roughly how much it'll cost. Because still, even after all this, I STILL WANT THIS CAT. I am still committed to him as long as they let him live, I will find a way to get the money, I don't care, but I'm not going to let this cat die if I can stop it.
Oh, and the people that brought Iso in also donated $700 dollars to the cat fund for Iso, but will the vet tech use it for him? NO, she wants to have me pull the money out of MY ass because I want him, I don't see why we can't go half and half on the cost or use the money FOR him ON him..but like I head the head tech is a C U, well you know the rest....
So, this is where you guys come in!I will likely be selling any of my taxidermy collection I can bear to part with, I really hate to do it, but like I said, I am committed to this cat. So, just make an offer on something and if I really need the money after all, then I'll accept the offer and it'll be yours. Things I will NOT sell, no matter what, are:
Rook my wolf
Sora my arctic fox
Sahmain my cross fox
House my dark coyote(he's in bad shape anyways and needs to be fixed)
Ummm that is all I can think of of the top of my head that I actually have with me at the moment, I mean if you make an offer on something I can't part with, the worst I can say is no. Everything I have is in this gallery:
wolfhaunt.deviantart.com/galle…Not pictured:
A frozen whole chick and a duckling
For those that don't watch me for my taxidermy, then I will also be doing art at a you pay what you want for any art piece. My only thing is that of course please be a real offer, like I'm not going to do a complete digital piece for like 50 cents..please, be fair...Examples of my art:
And I will also have a few random things for sale as well, like I have two original Furbies in pristine condition I am willing to take $32 dollars each for. They work like new and are clean and in perfect condition, great collector's gifts.
Something you want from me that I haven't listed? Just ask! I will do anything to get the money for this cat.
And lastly, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share this journal, I know I only have like 80 watchers, so I really need more people to see this!

5/15/13
So, I am coming to an end of my time at the clinic I've been at for a couple months now, and of course, who do I meet on my last week there? This poor, pathetic little cat I've affectionately nicknamed "Iso."
sta.sh/028ihgdcfa6tsta.sh/0qprwa8thimsta.sh/06sjz72clc3sta.sh/02ek10zxe66mWho is Iso you ask? Iso is a older(Vet says at least 6 years old if not more)stray that was brought in because he had a severe Upper Respiratory Infection, his teeth are in bad shape, he's blind or at least mostly blind in his left eye, and he's skin and bones. Iso has been in the Iso(Isolation) Ward since the 6th, and though he's doing like 10x better than when he came in(in the pics he had already took to starting to clean himself, and he's not nearly as snotty, though he is stained and his nose is still a bit snotty as you can see)he's still got a long way to go. He's got to kick this URI entirely, and then he's going to be neutered and have his teeth cleaned and the rotten ones pulled, then he'll be ready for a new home. Who's his new home you ask? Me! That's right, I fell for this little survivor when caring for him and I just can't leave him there, especially now that the ultimatum is the family that found him on their farm was just going to take him back and toss him back outside, and that's not what he needs, or wants. This cat, for being a stray, is the nicest cat I've EVER seen come into the clinic. All he wants is to be as close to you as possible and to be held and petted. I have "knead" marks all over my shoulders(that sting actually. xD)from just having him in my arms and he just sits there under my chin and kneads and purrs and rubs his head, he's certainly a charmer. So, when he's all healthy and ready to leave the clinic, I will be going and getting him! I was supposed to get my cat out here, but that plan fell apart, and we had the place all set for two cats, and so, I figured why not give this guy a home while I got everything set up? And then I'll just think up something later when I can finally get my cat here, we're moving next year anyways, so it won't be a problem to have an extra cat.
These past two days I've been on pins and needles and sick with anxiety because the people who found him really were going to take him back, and of course that means if they did, I'd lose him. But today I found out that they relinquished him and he's now property of the clinic and then to me in a couple of weeks once he's all healthy again! And I am absolutely ecstatic! I have my phone wallpaper set to a pic of him and it literally hurts to be away from him, I haven't had such a strong attachment to a cat since I got my Maine Coon 11 years ago. And when I thought I was going to lose him? I literally wanted to cry. But now it's just being patient and waiting for him to get healthy again(like I mentioned before it could take a few weeks for him to fully recover and go through surgery and such)but the second he's healthy I told them to give me a call and I'll come for him, so they should listen, as I know for a fact no one else wants him at the moment, and they know how much I want him! So yes, if all goes well, then in a few weeks at the latest, Iso will be with me. x3
I've been trying to think of a name for him other than "Iso" which I've only been calling him because he has no name, and being in the Iso Ward, he's called "Iso Cat" so I just shortened that up to "Iso." However, I'm thinking of giving him a completely new name, though I likely won't settle on one until I actually have him with me, but feel free to put any suggestions for him. x3 I like unique names, and for him, since he's so small, and sweet, I want a manly, yet soft name, if that makes any sense. xD One of my options that I kinda like is the name Sterling. xD
Okay, that's all, I just wanted to share because I am SO relieved that he wasn't taken away to just be stuck outside and now he can enjoy the rest of his years being cuddled and spoiled like he should've been in the first place. ^^
